KABUL, April 16 (Xinhua) -- A total of 826 Afghan families with 4,339 people left Pakistan on Tuesday, Afghanistan's High Commission for Addressing Returnees Problems said in a statement on Wednesday.

According to the statement, the families have returned home via the Torkham border crossing in the eastern Nangarhar province and the Spin Boldak border crossing in the southern Kandahar province.

At the Torkham border crossing between Afghanistan and Pakistan, the commission provided temporary shelters, nourishment, water, medical care, and transportation services. ■
