MINSK, April 17 (Xinhua) -- Belarusian gross domestic product (GDP) grew 3.1 percent year on year in the first quarter of 2025, data from the country's statistical committee showed Thursday.

The GDP volume in Q1 of 2025 amounted to 59.4 billion Belarusian rubles (about 18.4 billion U.S. dollars) in current prices, said the statistical committee.

The GDP deflator index in January-March 2025 amounted to 106.4 percent compared with the same period of 2024, it said.

Belarus' economy grew 4 percent in 2024, slightly higher than predicted. ■
